Department of Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology and Venereology is a public, not-for-profit academic department at Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Nepal focused on improving skin health. The department provides standardized treatments for various skin conditions and conducts research to support education and continuous improvement in patient care. The department offers treatments for infections, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and other skin, hair and nail diseases, and conducts clinical and epidemiological researches. The goal of the department is to provide affordable dermatological care, produce skilled specialists who will reduce the prevalence of skin diseases in the country and provide scientific and evidence-based care through research in skin diseases, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS.

  • LASER Therapies (Fractional and Ablative Co2, Q switched Nd YAG, Long Pulse Nd YAG)
  • Electrofulguration/Electrocauterization, Cryotherapy
  • Scar surgeries
  • Split ear repair
  • Narrow Band Ultraviolet therapy for vitiligo, psoriasis etc.
